Love it but be careful with you scrunchies

I love this so much, i try a lot of different ways/techniques but it is kinda hard to try to sleep in, but you won’t feel it anymore when you actually are asleep. It always gives me curls I love so much but if you want loose waves make sure to do it tightly but not way too tight, for me it sort of just falls a little (For me). Sadly the scrunchie i got did not last long, one scrunchie down so that’s kinda hard to work with. (By the way I was just bored so i decided to write this but still recommend!!!!!)

Not perfect but it works well

Wearing this thing I feel like a charachter out of a Star Wars movie. I’ve only used it twice so far and while i haven’t perfected it yet…here is what I learned.Cons:- I find it hard to sleep in this thing. Unless I’m laying flat in my back…I can’t really sleep. However…I am a side sleeper so that may play into it.- Says to use with lightly damp hair. I blow dryed my hair till it was lightly damp and then put it in this thing at 8pm. The next morning my hair was still a little damp. I have thick coarse hair so…maybe that played into it. So, depending on how your hair holds water…you may want to have it basically dry. 🤷🏻‍♀️Pros:- It worked better than I expected it to and with minimum effort while I sleep which is basically ideal as I’m not a big spend a lot of time on my hair kind of person.- It is light and super portable which is great for traveling. I’d rather bring thing than a curling iron! So…I wouldn’t have to worry about packing it hot.- Even with my hair being damp it still looked cute.Overall….I am very happy with the product’s results. I look forward to learning the tricks of the trade. I may update as time allows! :)

A little stiff…

I had really high hopes for this heatless curler! I will say I think it would be perfect for some people, but it is not compatible with my life style.First off, it is very stiff and hard to shape to my head making it hard to clip on, pull down, and wrap hair around. I think with use this would loosen up and not be a problem.Second, it is not comfortable. I couldn’t dream of sleeping with this on my head which is what I really wanted. Because of this, I tried it during the day, but never had enough time to leave it in long enough to get good results (unless I wanted to look like a sister wife all day). That being said, the few times I did try it, the curls turned out well. I think if you left it in long enough and practiced the technique you could get beautiful curls from it. The clip and hair bands are good quality too! I use them without the curler all the time! Hope this helps someone!

Life changing for my hair! (In depth, includes routine + tips)

I love this product! It is easy to use, convenient, and EFFECTIVE. This is coming from someone who can't even do braids/plaits because I am so clumsy with my hands.Attached is the results after the FIRST time I used it, and then the second is how my hair looks when totally wrapped and pulled back (and dried).I got this in March 2022 and it has been going strong; now in the beginning of August. I use it almost every single time I wash my hair, which is at least 2x a week, since I got it, so about 50+ times.I'm a fully white female, my hair type is 2C (likely 3A but I have damage) and extremely porous - I mean it takes a full 24 hours nearly to dry. This is the only issue I've had since using this, is that my hair dries so slowly, so it takes time to plan my washing/curling routine. I've managed to do it fine and find work-arounds and other uses, though. If your hair dries quickly then this would be great, too!My hair is medium-to-long length and hits right below my shoulder blades.Pros:- SO easy to use- Easy to pack on trips - this has completely replaced my heated curling rod AND BLOWDRYER on trips, I don't even bring it along anymore!- Comfortable- Effective with both dry and wet hair- Can use while sleeping!- Works splendid on day old or day 2+ hair if you cannot wash frequently/have a dry scalp- Most importantly, great results!Cons:- Can take longer to dry your hair than normal, which can be an issue if your hair already dries slowly- Possibly longevity issues, but again, I've used this 50+ times in 5 months, so I think that's to be expected. The little pearl 'button' on one end broke off at about 3 months of use, so one of my ends is open and frayed, but I am not expecting it to look pretty, anyway.- The "break-in" period before it becomes more comfortable/flexible is a bit difficult.- It doesn't effectively curl the back of your head - but this is fixed by certain hairstyles. As a note - if you use this on dry hair, leave it in for a few (4+) hours so it can take, or apply a little bit of heat via a blow dryer, then hairspray before removing the rod. It'll probably fall out into nice waves over the course of a few hours but it is still nice.My routine:I go two (sometimes three) routes with this. One with wet/damp hair, before the fuzzies on my scalp start to dry, and one with mostly dry hair with just a touch of moisture left in it.My best success is as follows:1.) Use a sulfate free shampoo and a GOOD conditioner (my hair is prone to be very frizzy, and I have had hair loss which is growing out, which means I have SUPER short re-growth... more on that later).2.) Part hair down the middle and detangle it thoroughly. I also like to comb through the individual sections before I wrap them back, too - it makes a more even curl/prevents kinks.3.) I use a leave-in conditioner OR OGX Curl Defining Cream (in a blue bottle with a white cap and gold accents - NOT the Coconut Curls) if I am only letting it air-dry. If I am doing a blowout first, then I use John Freida root boosting volume lotion (green bottle, skinny spray cap), then Chi x Barbie Silk Infusion, THEN my OGX Curl Defining Cream or leave in conditioner.Important note: when I use OGX Curl Defining Cream, my hair (unless blown out) dries a bit "crunchier" - this is easily fixed over time. It also makes your hair EXTRA curly with a lot of extra hold, especially when air-dried. 100% recommend this product too, except it can be hard to find.4A.) If I am letting it air dry, I wrap my hair after a few minutes of drying without the rod (because my hair takes 24+ hours - not exaggerating). I spray with water the "fuzzies" that pop up around my scalp... they're not baby hairs, just frizz and regrowth. If I spray them down then they will wrap up easier with the rest of my hair and stick out less.4B.) If I blow it out, I will get extra volume but less of a long-lasting curl, but minimal frizz. So lately I have been doing this, with the products mentioned, since it helps tame my re-growth best. My curls fall out over a few hours but still result in a very natural looking wave which I like. So, I will blow out my hair (I use a FoxyBae blowout brush I got in a subscription box, but I am sure a regular blowdryer + frequent brushing to tame the hair will work), making sure I blow dry upside down for the lift. Then I will wrap my hair when it is ALMOST dry - meaning, I do not feel wetness dripping when I run my fingers through my hair, but my hair gets slightly cold quickly because of the excess water. If you've experienced this then you know what I mean!5.) Then I take each pigtail looking end and twist the ROD ITSELF in the direction of my curls, away from my face. I do this with each side and tie it back in a "ponytail" using a large, thick headband (need this for the extra size - a regular pony tail holder won't do because it will be too small, and it will also be too thin and leave crimps on the hair)... I got my thick headband from the Dollar Tree lol. It is ...

Frustrating to use

I would not recommend this product to anyone with mid length hair. I would also not recommend to anyone with fine hair, straight hair, or a round top of their skull. The rod was so annoying to work with, and the claw clip was DIGGING into my scalp to hold the rod, but the rod would not stay in place for me to tightly wrap my hair around. I had to retry about 7 times to wrap my hair tightly and trust me I was tugging—it was just becoming loose and falling out because the rod cannot shape around my head and started to just either slide off my head or shape into a giant triangle above my head. The rod is clearly cheaply made and the biggest flaw. It should probably be weighted or bendable to actually fit around your head. I don’t have the 3 hands required for this product, where I have to tug on my hair with 2 hands, and use my third hand to hold down the rod.It did a good job curling the ends of my hair, but I will most likely never use this product again as it is frustrating to use and doesn’t sit in place.

Curls like crazy!

I love this curling system! It's easy to learn to use, thanks to You Tube. The only suggestion I have is - look for a softer one filled with batting - this one is filled with foam and it's a little firm to sleep on. But - best curls I've ever had (I have long hair, very resisitant to curl).

Takes some getting used to

This does take some getting used to on how to use it. I used it and slept in it. I have very thick hair so when I took it out, my hair was very big, but I tossed and turned it night. A lot would be perfect to use deer in the day for a few hours and then take out for a nighttime look.

Really uncomfortable to sleep

The rod works ok, I find that if I wear it overnight, in the morning I have well-defined curls. They don't last very long on me but I have fine straight hair so I was honestly expecting that. What I don't like is that the rod is stiff so it's quite uncomfortable to sleep in and the claw clip isn't very good quality

Watch YouTube for tips!

Not sure why this has bad reviews. It worked well for my long hair. I watched a couple YouTubes and was able to get my hair to curl better than with a curling iron. The key is using proper product, making sure your hair is about 90% dry, and knowing how to properly roll it. I slept with a clip on top of my head and it stayed in place the entire night it was not uncomfortable at all. It's silky and comes off of your hair easily when you're ready.

Necesario y practico

Mega Fail

I read A LOT of reviews of this product and I felt confident that I would have good results. Unfortunately that was not the case for me. First of all, it was so uncomfortable to wear to bed. I think I have a more sensitive head than normal people, so that might just be an issue with me, but I had a horrible night of sleep because I could not get comfortable and I kept waking up in pain. Second, when I tried to pull it off of my head, my hair totally stuck onto the roller thing. It’s a grippy terry cloth material, and my hair didn’t just slip right out of it like all the videos show. My hair was still damp in the morning, so I did blow dry it for a minute before I took the roller out. I think maybe if my hair had been bone dry, it would have slid off the roller, but it wasn’t dry after 7 hours, so I don’t know how long I would have had to wear it for that to happen! Finally, the curls were almost nonexistent. I seriously don’t know what I did wrong, but my hair WAS NOT curled. There were kinks and some weird waves, but that’s it. I foolishly tried it the night before Easter, so I ended up having to curl my hair with a curling iron anyway. I think with practice that maybe I could figure out a technique that worked, but I can’t handle the head pain. I will be returning this. I’m jealous that other ladies have such good results, it’s truly amazing but just not for me!

I saw this trend going around and thought what a smart way to cut the time it takes to get flawless curled hair. I get it in the mail and I am excited to use it. I wash my hair and get this thing out and clip it to the top of my head and spiral wrap my hair around it. I have ling hair so it took sufficient arm strength to do this. I go to bed, and I am not sure how people sleep with this and it not straight fall out. I am a stomach sleeper so I tried to sleep to my side. I wake up and the top part is almost all the way out and my hair is hot, ding on to it for its dear life. I unravel it and it looks like turds. my hair is like a kinky (not cool 80s way) weird half dried turd of a mess. I wanted to be cool and wake up with flawless hair but it didn't happen for me. I then tried it on my daughter to vicariously live through her cool ness and she hated sleeping in it and pulled it out at some point in the night so ill never know. I guess I wasn't destined to wake up with flawless hair and I have to keep doing it the hard way. Its material was nice and silky though.

The Colors are Vibrant

The colors are vibrant, prettier than all the others, even the scrunchie and I love the plastic Clip. It is the prettiest clip ever. The noodle is longer and and it is easy to use, even easier because of the clip added. I knocked one off for comfort and drying. Drying was not as quick as the other noodle I have. This one is smaller around, not by much but perhaps this was the cause. If I could have had it on longer it may have been better. I would use a dryer to speed up the process need be. Comfort, because I had to bend up the noodle, put my whole head under a bonnett to keep in place, the process wasn't as comfortable than I'd like, but I'm not used to wearing a noodle to bed. So that could have been me. The set is definetly a keeper. I still amaze at the fact that the set is so easy top up up and it looks like your Salon Ready, Value for the money if asked was Absolutely, beats paying a fortune for a beautician. Everyone needs one of these.

Beautiful curls.

Yes. If you like having pretty waves all day, easy to use products, and sleep, buy this.I saw the sock trend on tiktok (if you're look at this product you probably know what I'm talking about) and had been trying to find a way to replicate the look without having to spend an hour with a curling iron damaging my hair. After socks, we graduated to a pair of tights and hair ties. This solves all the problems that the tights left. It took a few tries to navigate MY hair (about 18 inches and two packs of extensions so semi-thick) for the style I wanted, but once I did- game over. It's SUPER comfortable to sleep in, super easy to use and requires ZERO styling after. I literally take it off my head in the morning, which is super easy, the curls just fall. Spray and go.I have a lot of hair, so when I go from completely wet, just out of the shower, it doesn't fully dry my hair overnight, but if it's just damp, it definitely will. Curls are beautiful and stay all day and I sleep like a baby through the night.

Great for uneven curl pattern, relaxing, and smoothing

My hair is fairly course and a bit longer than shoulder length with a wacky curl pattern that ranges from 2a to 3c depending on the area (back is very curly and gets straighter toward the front - in some places). I am older and dont use SM but I saw this by chance on a TV show and searched it out. I can only wash my hair about 2x per week max, and I have to spray it down with water, add leave in conditioner and hair oil mid way to ends just to comb it every day. I dont like using heat on my hair but prefer it to be more tame and smooth than it comes naturally. I have been leaving it to it's own devices for its health, but always wishing for an easy way to tame it. I found one! This is soooo easy and comfortable, though I do think it looks ridiculous (!). If you can wrap your hair around a curling wand you should have no problem with this. Before I go to bed I mist my hair all over with water and put in my leave in conditioner and hair oil. Then I brush it very straight and flat. I only used the clip to hold the rod to the top of my head while I am winding the hair around. I start at the front top of my head on one side and wrap it around. Then I hold the end of that section with one of my fingers while wrapping the bottom front over the end to secure it, then remove my finger and continue working toward the back (repeat). In all I do probably 4-5 sections on one side. Then I tie off the ends with the scrunchy. Once the first side is done I dont find I need the clip any longer. I wrap the other side the same way and go to bed. I don't notice it at all when sleeping and it stays in great! As long as my hair fully dries before removing the rod my curls last perfectly for at least 2 days (but since I also get a lot of frizz in general I prefer to wrap it every night). My hair looks so much smoother, more relaxed, and the curls are much more consistent). Great results for less than 5 minutes of work. I LOVE THIS.

Worth the try!

I was skeptical- but pleasantly surprised! I have thick, soft hair with no texture. I’ve never been able to use a curling iron or have any other type of hot roller actually hold a curl for more than 10 minutes. This product REALLY works! But, it’s a little tricky & comes with a slight love/hate relationship. Instructions are simple enough, and the product is decent quality. I think maneuvering is the hardest part, then if you’re leaving it in overnight is the second hurdle. …I don’t have time or patience to wait 4-6 hours for damp hair to fully dry before needing my “do done”.I’ve tried this a few different ways. First, after separating hair to each half of head, separated each half section into 4 more per side, wrapping one at a time around one side, for each. It works well for “ringlets”. And, I was totally blown away they held tight, perfect, the entirety of the day without using any product!I have also tried the same method, but with hair fresh out of the shower instead of only dampened. It works well, still- but the curls were a bit more loose & didn’t hold as long. Plus, I ended up with some odd looking “kinks” towards my scalp where I had the hair clamp positioned. So, it’s better to have slightly dampened hair & not “wet”. It doesn’t fully dry properly, even overnight if your hair is more than damp. The third round I tried was per the initial instructions of just separating hair in half per each side. Positioned rod w/ clamp & wrapped entire 1/2 of hair each side, once along the rod. Left it in overnight & the result was very nice, flowing “waves”. Not so much of a curl, but looking natural & smooth like it was styled professionally at the salon.I think the results are great for how “simplistic” this product is, not using heat or anything else. Only, it’s a bit awkward to maneuver. And, sleeping with it in place is difficult if you’re aiming to use it for overnight purposes. I suggest using a satin pillowcase. But, the provided scrunchies hold well. The claw is sturdy & no issues, even overnight. Plus, a fun variety of color/patterns to choose from! This is my go-to instead of using a curling iron or heat rollers when I want curls or natural waves, now. This does the job WAY better & actually holds. Crazy a strange looking contraption that’s also very simplistic can accomplish these results- but it does!
